There are a hundred apps for booking a class.
This is the one for who’s teaching it.

Out now in New York

The map is already built.

Sweatlist opens in New York with the city’s boutique-fitness instructors already mapped, so your studio is there on day one. All you add is the ratings.

1,600+instructors mapped
133NYC studios
35neighborhoods
13disciplines

From NoHo and Flatiron to Williamsburg, the Upper East Side, Hudson Yards and Bryant Park, across yoga, pilates, spin, HIIT, lifting, barre, boxing, running, dance and rowing.

Studio and instructor listings are public class facts. Ratings and leaderboards fill in as New York starts rating. Sweatlist 1.0 is out now on iPhone, free.

The launch catalog

Every studio, by name.

The claim above is not a round number we like the look of. These are the New York studios already in the app, and the instructors counted at each one come from that studio’s own public class schedule. No invented names, and no ratings until real people leave them.

How Sweatlist works

1

Rate a class in seconds

Just finished a session? Give a star rating in one tap. Want to say more? Tag what you loved: energy, music, coaching, atmosphere, then drop a quick review. No essays required.

2

Discover the right coach

Brutal bootcamp this morning, recovery flow tonight? Filter by exactly what you’re after and search fast by studio, city or discipline.

3

Build & share lists

Curate your “Top 5 Spin” or “Best Yoga in Austin,” follow people whose taste you trust, and finally answer the eternal “who should I book?”

Leaderboards that are actually fair

A spin instructor and a yoga teacher aren’t competing for the same crown, so we’d never rank them against each other. Sweatlist boards are per category and scope-fair, by discipline and city. Credible rankings you can trust, never a meaningless single #1.

For every studio routine

If you’ve got a studio routine and opinions about who’s worth the 6am alarm, Sweatlist is your home.

Questions

What is Sweatlist?

An iOS app for rating and ranking the fitness instructors who teach your classes. Booking apps tell you where a class is; Sweatlist tells you who to take it from.

How do I rate an instructor?

After a class, give a star rating in a single tap. Want to say more? Optionally tag what you loved: energy, music, coaching, atmosphere, community, then leave a short review.

Are the leaderboards fair across disciplines?

Yes. Spin and yoga are never ranked against each other. Boards are per category and scope-fair, sorted by discipline and city, never a single global number one.

Which class types are supported?

Spin, HIIT, yoga, pilates, barre, lifting, boxing and bootcamp: any boutique studio routine where the instructor makes the class.

How is Sweatlist different from ClassPass or Mindbody?

Booking apps help you find and reserve a class. Sweatlist answers a different question: who should teach it? It’s built around the instructor, not the time slot, so you can rate coaches, follow taste you trust, and find the people worth the 6am alarm.

Can I find the best instructor near me?

Yes. Sweatlist surfaces top-rated instructors near you and sorts studios by distance, so you can find a great spin, yoga or HIIT coach in your city. Location is optional, so you can also browse by choosing a city. For tips, read our guide on how to find the best fitness instructor near you.

Can I make a list of my favorite instructors?

Yes. Build lists like “My Top 5 Spin” or “Best Yoga in Austin,” reorder them into your personal ranking, and share them. You can also follow people whose taste you trust and see who they really rate.

Is there an Android version of Sweatlist?

Sweatlist is out now on iPhone. Download it free from the App Store. An Android version may follow based on demand.

How much does it cost?

Sweatlist is free to download on iPhone.
